Sewing runs on both sides of my family. My mom’s side did quilting, and my dad’s side did the clothes making. I didn’t grow up around sewing though. It wasn’t until I went to high school at Greater Lowell Tech in Tyngsboro, MA, where I first learned to use a sewing machine. I graduated from the Fashion Design program in 2005 and after high school worked with a master tailor where I learned a little of the menswear side of tailoring. I specialize in bridal and formal wear, and about 90% of it is self taught. I have always been able to just look at something and know how to fix it, or make it.

In 2011 I started KK Tailoring and ran it out of my parent’s home for 10 years until moving to an actual store front in June of 2023! I am the sole owner and operator of KK Tailoring, I am a one woman show!
